Remote monitoring of fuel tanks at Telecom Base Stations

A very large percentage of the fuel for field applications is lost. With a Netbiter connected to your fuel tank, you can make sure that you get the correct amount of fuel at fill-up and that you are notified whenever fuel levels drop too fast (theft or leakage).

What can you do online?

Alarm management

Immediately detect if fuel is being stolen. Direct alarms to service personnel via SMS or email.

Monitor levels

Make sure you get the agreed fuel levels at fill-up.

Avoid unnecessary transports

Only fill up with fuel when you really need it.

Generator fleet management

Manage large-scale tank fleets with inbuilt GPS functionality. Create secure zones using geo-fencing to prevent fuel theft.

Get reports and statistics

Optimize your fuel usage by comparing your historical usage.

How it works

Connecting the tank

A Netbiter communication gateway connects to the tank sensor using a serial, Ethernet or I/O connection. The gateway sends information via the Internet or the cellular network (GSM/GPRS/3G) to the cloud-based Netbiter Argos data center.

The data is encrypted both to and from the Argos server.

Online access

By logging on to Netbiter Argos at www.netbiter.net, you can see all parameters of your tank via a computer, tablet or smartphone.

Set up and configure in a matter of minutes

Just connect the Netbiter gateway to your tank sensor and then configure it online at your leisure.

Netbiter Tank Sensor

The Netbiter offering includes an Ultrasonic Tank Sensor – an easy-to-use solution for monitoring the content level of fuel tanks, water tanks, oil tanks etc.

It is made exclusively for Netbiter by Pepperl & Fuchs and is mounted on top of a tank to give a very exact reading (<1% margin of error). It can be used on most tank types up to 2 meter’s height.

No calibration needed

You simply connect the tank sensor to your Netbiter gateway, enter the tank type and dimensions, and the content is displayed in liters in your Netbiter Argos web interface.

Case study

Staying on top of tank levels

Omnisyst, a company in industrial waste management uses Netbiter to monitor tank levels in liquid waste tanks. Netbiter provides Omnisyst’s customers with real-time data and statistics on their tanks.

What particularly attracted us was the email reporting and the continuous overview of tank levels.
